About Appointed Pictures
Our Mission
Appointed Pictures creates documentaries that help people see history, themselves, others, and God more clearly through truthful storytelling.
We believe stories have the power to help people ask better questions, understand one another, and see truth more clearly. Every project begins with careful research, honest conversations, and respect for the people whose stories are being told.
Our Vision
To become a trusted source of documentaries that explore history, culture, faith, and the human condition — helping families think more deeply, engage more honestly, and pursue true freedom.
The Name
Why "Appointed Pictures"?
The name comes from John 15:16 — where Jesus speaks about being chosen and appointed to bear fruit that lasts.
We don't see these stories as something we simply come up with. We see them as something we've been given to develop — and we try to handle them with care.
We do our part with the story in front of us and trust God with what comes from it.
The Founder
Roy "R.E." LeBlanc
Educator, U.S. Army veteran, and documentary filmmaker. R.E. founded Appointed Pictures out of a conviction that honest storytelling can reach people in ways that lectures and arguments rarely do.
Documentary filmmaking is collaborative. Whether through prayer, financial support, sharing our work, or contributing your expertise, we welcome people who believe truthful stories are worth telling.
